The third class in our rotating series is Multiple Shots on Target. Defensive shooting often requires that we achieve multiple high-quality hits on target.  This class will focus on learning they how and why of using our firearm to achieve “defensive groups” as opposed to single bullseye shots.

Our new series—Intermediate Skills—is for newer shooters who have already learned the basics of handgun operation and are looking toward the next step of more defensive-focused skills. These classes (1 hour in class and 1 hour of live-fire drills) cover a specific area each month, rotating through topics you need to reliably use a firearm. Topics are:

  • Situational awareness and threat assessment
  • Sighting methods
  • Multiple shots on target
  • Scanning and assessing

For this class you will need:

  1. Eye and ELECTRONIC ear protection (for safety reasons, you must be able to easily hear our instructor; if you don’t have it, we rent it for $3)
  2. A handgun and holster with which YOU ARE EASILY PROFICIENT
  3. At least 3 (THREE) magazines; do not hold up class by being ill-prepared
  4. Holster with sturdy belt (use of holster will be based on competency)
  5. Approximately 100-150 rounds of ammunition

PREREQUISITE: You must be PROFICIENT (able to put 5 consecutive shots within a 5” target at 5 yards); PRACTICED within the last month; and SAFE (know and follow all indoor range firearm safety rules).
