Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP)
September 28 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
| $139 – $159Arizona allows citizens to carry concealed without training, but do you know the laws regarding concealed carry and self-defense? Can you draw safely from a holster, assess the situation, and, if necessary, shoot accurately when the time comes to do so? Taking a gun out of a holster in haste is one of the most dangerous things you will ever do with a firearm. We are not a certificate mill. You’ll learn holster draw with 2 HOURS of live-fire instruction, AND the legalities of defending yourself and your family. PLUS, you’ll receive an application packet including fingerprint cards to simply drop in the mail.
PREREQUISITE: THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER CLASS. You must be PROFICIENT (able to keep 5 consecutive shots within a 5” target at 5 yards); PRACTICED (within the last month); and SAFE (follow all indoor range firearm safety rules). Those who are found to be unsafe will not pass the class, will not receive a refund, and will not receive a certification packet.
For this class you will need:
- Ear and eye protection (foam earplugs are insufficient for the range)
- A baseball cap to deflect flying shell casings
- A handgun with which YOU ARE PROFICIENT and which you intend to carry
- A strong-side, OUTSIDE-the-waistband (OWB) leather or kydex belt holster that fits and retains your handgun and COMPLETELY covers the trigger guard (ABSOLUTELY NO inside-the-waistband, soft fabric, appendix, Blackhawk Serpa (trigger finger unlock), small-of-the-back, cross-draw, shoulder or deep-concealment holsters i.e. flash bangs)
- 2 magazines
- A 1 ¼ – 1 ½” wide, stiff, sturdy belt, i.e. a gun belt, that supports the weight of a loaded gun
- At least 100 rounds of ammunition
- A mag holder is recommended
- A garment to be used for practice in concealing your firearm
- Closed-toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals)
- Long pants with sturdy belt loops and pockets that are easily accessible to hold additional ammunition or magazines
- A notepad and a BLACK INK pen (required for use on the CCW application and fingerprint cards)
